Little by little I'm finding the courage to look, but it feels like a very long road.

It is good to hear that your body naturally craves healthy food. I think many of our bodies do, we are just masters at covering up the cravings.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03925464593583826662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553600967846266830.post-25147258151199641602010-08-09T06:37:05.157-04:002010-08-09T06:37:05.157-04:00Oh how I love fresh dates :) I'll just have on...Oh how I love fresh dates :) I'll just have one or maybe two at a serve, but oh so delicious and 'real'. Much better than any chocolate bar.

Your writing was fascinating. I agree about the first two bites too. If only we could PAY for a two bite serve of something huh?? :)

Thanks for finishing my day with such an interesting read.Saffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10650536187570834838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553600967846266830.post-75247704709951496802010-08-02T12:33:06.220-04:002010-08-02T12:33:06.220-04:00Ophir

It was stablized for four years until 7/17 when it landed me in the hospital four days because my heart went out of rhythm and my blood pressure peaked.

I was release from the hospital with two new medicines and told no caffeine, no chocolate, no occassional cigarette and no salt. Thank God I can still have beer but only in moderation. But, at least I stil have something left.

Basically, I've been detoxing from everything I love for 16 days, 20 hours and about 50 minutes. So, I know how you feel about the forbidden fruit. I am currently jonesing for a Raspberry Mocho with the expresso super shot followed by a nice relaxing Dirty Olive Martini and cigarette:-)AHH, how sweet it sounds. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I noticed recently that I am feeling better now than I felt in months. It seems the new meds and diet restrictions are working. I've finally accepted they are now a necessity for me and no longer optional. I suppose I finally grew up and took responsibility for my heart and am finally doing what is right for it. And realizing I feel better and healthier as a result.

I guess I can't say for absolute certainity that I won't indulge in something one day. But, today I am caffeine, chocolate, cigrette and salt free! And, I will confess that I may have a beer later:-)

Have a wonderful day.

Linda LongAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
